Reading Mark Batterson

I’m reading Mark Batterson’s Wild Goose Chase. It was a freebie. Somebody sent it to me. Free. So, I’m reading it.

Usually the only free books I ever get aren’t published by Multnomah or by a well known author. (He wrote In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day which my friend Lyndon Bontrager thought was wonderful!)

Usually the freebies I get are written by Rev. Milton Frebish, former toddler pastor at Oakbrush Assembly in Singapore, Wisconsin. Usually it’s something like The 53 Steps to Being a More Judgmental Disciple through Signs, Wonder, Pray and Fasting or The Amazing God’s Way Peanut Butter Weight Loss Prayer Plan written and illustrated by Rev. Milton Frebish and published by Milton Frebish Publications, with endorsements from Mrs. Milton Frebish, Todd Bentley and Al Capone III. Usually it has a big hairy lion on the cover or something with blood. Or it’s just very plain, with just the title and Rev. Milton Frebish in big letters.

Some people get PDF’s of people like Neil Cole and Alan Hirsch to read pre-publication. But I get Milton Frebish. But that’s okay, because I get to read what nobody else in the whole world is reading and get the thoughts and revelations of people no one will ever read.

But this one is free and endorsed by Len Sweet and people like that. So I’ve begun reading it and it looks good. It’s about passion and God, so I’m sold already.
